Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in time starts at 4 PM. Check-out time ends at 11:00 AM. Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Parking

Guests are required to park their vehicles in the fenced area at the back. On the street, parking is allowed for a maximum of 2 hours during the day, however, overnight parking is permitted with no time limit. Parking in any other areas is strictly prohibited to avoid getting towed.

No Smoking

No smoking inside the house.

Damages & Breakages

Please no shoes on when in the unit. If you break or damage something, please let us know immediately and arrange for its replacement or repair.

Eating

Always use the dining or breakfast table when eating. Don't eat anywhere else in the house.Please no food in the bedrooms or on the couches. Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help. Don't put anything oily or smelly food or non-food item in the refrigerators.

Security

Please treat our place with respect. Guests’ belongings are only safe and secure if you remember to close and lock all doors and windows at all times. Please don’t waste energy. Turn of the lights and all appliances when you aren’t using them or when you go out. Also, don’t leave the air conditioning or heater on with the windows open. We have an automated thermostat. Do let us know if you experience any issues with that. Please no open fires/candles/incense.

Pets

Please clean up after your pets and ensure they do not spoil anything in the house.

Noise, The Neighborhood, Visitors, Functions

No parties and no overnight visitors without previous approval from us. Please avoid disturbing the neighborhood in any way. Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property. No sex outside the bedrooms. And please, always use the bed. An extra guest will attract at least $20 per night.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we allow pets for an extra fee.

Is there a parking space?

Yes, parking is available within the garage or the driveway on the property.

How early can I check-in?

Check-in is at 4 pm but you can check in earlier if we didn’t have a guest the previous day.

Can I check-in without an ID?

No, you can’t. We require a valid means of Identification for your check-in to be approved.

Are you open to long-term rentals?

It depends on the duration. Please reach out to us via our contact channels and we will gladly assist you.

When is check-out?

Check-out is at the latest 11 a.m. However, if you would like a later check-out, please reach out to us. Please note that any checkout later than 11 a.m. attracts a $20 fine per hour till 1 pm, and after 1 p.m. we will charge you for a full day.

Is there an option to extend my stay? How much?

Yes, you can extend your stay. You will send an alteration request through the OTA you booked or reach out to us via the contact channels provided and we will assist you.

Security Deposits/Damages

What is a security deposit?

A security deposit is a temporary hold placed on your credit card upon check-in. It is a precautionary measure to cover potential incidentals, damages, or additional charges during your stay. It is not a charge, and the hold amount will be voided upon check-out.

How much is the security deposit?

The security deposit amount is $250.

Is the security deposit a charge to my credit card?

No, the security deposit is not a charge. It is only a temporary hold on your credit card to cover potential expenses. The hold will be voided upon check-out.

Will I receive a notification when the security deposit is voided?

No, you may not receive a notification when the security deposit is voided because it is not a charge. Please reach out to your bank for confirmation.

How long does it take for the security deposit hold to be voided?

The security deposit hold is voided upon days check-out, depending on your financial institution's processing times it night take a couple of days to reflect on your account.

Can I use the security deposit for incidentals during my stay?

No, the security deposit is held to cover potential incidentals or damages and is not available for use during your stay. Any applicable charges for incidentals will be processed separately.

Is the security deposit refundable if there are no charges or damages?

Yes, if there are no applicable charges or damages, the security deposit hold will be voided, and the funds will become available on your credit card.

Can I pay the security deposit in cash or by another method?

No, we only authorize the security deposit on a credit card.

Can I dispute charges or issues related to the security deposit?

If you have any concerns or questions about the security deposit or any associated charges, you can send us a direct message via booking channel, email or contact our front desk during your stay for clarification and assistance.

Can I use a card that doesn’t belong to me to pay for the security deposit?

No, we only accept payment for the security deposit using a card that belongs to the guest checking in.

Parking

Where can guests park their vehicles?

Guests are required to park their vehicles in the garage or in the driveway.

What happens if I park in unauthorized areas or on the street?

Vehicles found parked in unauthorized areas or parked for more than 2 hours on the street may be subject to towing at the owner's expense. Tilton Midtown will not be responsible for any towing fees incurred.

What is the fee for recovering a vehicle from the tow yard?

To recover your vehicle from the tow yard, a fee of $100 above the standard towing charges will apply.

Can I park overnight in the designated parking areas?

Yes, overnight parking in our designated parking areas is allowed for registered guests.

Can I reserve a parking spot in advance?

We do not offer advanced parking reservations. Parking spots are available for guests during their stay

What should I do if I accidentally parked in an unauthorized area or on the street?

If you realize you have parked in an unauthorized area or on the street, please move your vehicle to a designated parking spot as soon as possible to avoid towing.

If I have an oversized vehicle where do I park it?

If you have an oversized vehicle you can park your vehicle in the driveway

Are there any security measures in place for the parking areas?

Yes, we take the security of our parking areas seriously. Each guest is provided with a unique access code the garage. Also, we have surveillance cameras and lighting to enhance the safety and security of parked vehicles. However, we recommend that guests do not leave valuables in their vehicles.

Can I leave my vehicle in the parking area after check-out?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate leaving your vehicle in the parking area after check-out, as we have other guests checking in who will require the parking space. Thank you for your understanding.

What should I do if my vehicle is towed from the property?

If your vehicle is towed from the property, please contact the local towing company for information on retrieving your vehicle. We will also assist in providing you with the necessary information to recover your vehicle from the tow yard.

Cancellation and No shows

What is your cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy varies depending on the booking channel used. Guests are encouraged to review the specific cancellation policies on the booking platform they used. For direct bookings, guests must notify us of their cancellation at least 14 days before their scheduled check-in date to receive a full refund.

Can I cancel my reservation less than 14 days before check-in?

If you cancel your reservation within 14 days of the check-in date, a cancellation fee will be applied. We recommend that you review the specific cancellation policies on your booking platform for more details.

What happens if I don't show up on the scheduled date?

If you fail to arrive and check-in on the scheduled date without prior notice of cancellation, the total booking cost will be charged, and no refunds will be issued.

If I check out early, will I receive a refund for the remaining days?

If you decide to check out before the originally scheduled departure date, the total booking cost for the entire reserved stay will be charged, and no refunds will be issued.

What should I do in case of a genuine emergency that requires cancellation?

In the event of a genuine emergency, such as a medical emergency or travel restrictions, we ask guests to provide relevant documentation. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to find the most suitable solution, which may include rescheduling the reservation or offering a partial refund.

Can I cancel a reservation made through Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, or Vrbo through Sunnyside directly?

For reservations made through third-party platforms, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, or Vrbo, guests are required to cancel the reservation themselves on the platform they used. Tilton Midtown is unable to cancel such reservations from our end to avoid penalties

How can I contact your hotel to make changes to my reservation or discuss cancellations?
